Disaster...

Before I start ranting about how my life went today, I would like all who visit my blog to observe a minute of silence before reading on to mourn the huge amount of lives lost in Myanmar, due to Cyclone Nargis which hit the densely populated area of the Irrawaddy delta. More than 22,000 lives were lost according to reports and the number of missing people now stands at more than 41,000. The United Nations estimates that more than a million people could be homeless as the cyclone went on for four days. An aerial view of Myanmar after the Cyclone Nargis hit, which included four days of gales, floods and high tidal waves.
Residents look on as they are deported to safety, many which are homeless now.

A chart showing the path of the Cyclone Nargis's travel path and its path of destruction.

Prices of essential need items have skyrocketed according to locals, which includes water and rice. Many are finding it hard to obtain these items as some people only earn as little as 2 USD per day.

Relieve effort are being sent by the UN and the European Union and various other countries which included China, Indonesia and France. The United States who offered military help to Myanmar to find the dead and missing are most likely to be rejected by the military junta of Myanmar due to claims from the military junta that the United States are trying to subvert the junta's rule. (Politicians...We should line them up and have them machine-gunned...)
